摘要
本文分析了湖南与周边省区的现状关系（ 特别是湖南与周边省区加强经济联系的优劣势） ，指出湖南正遭受到赣、桂、皖、闽等“后起之秀”的强大挑战。在此基础上，本文预测了１９９８ 年湖南与周边省区的关系走势，强调发展的过程虽有不小困难，但区域关系仍将呈健康有序的走势。为把握湖南经济发展的新契机，文章提出了若干意见和对策，旨在加强区域协作，推动湖南经济上一台阶。
Competition and Cooperation are the two main aspects of regional relations. This article carefully analyses the present relations between Hunan and its neighbouring provinces and districts' and predicts the developing trend of these relations in 1988. On the foundation it offeres us a few suggestions and measures for the strengthenment of the regional cooperation and the development of Hunan Economy.
