Beijing firstly proposes a new enrollment mode in vocational colleges that students will be enrolled according to college entrance examination combined with academic proficiency test, which is a new exploration for vocational colleges in the diversified development of admissions mode. The new mode highlights the major and scores first, and takes more respect to the speech fight of colleges and examinees in the choice of examination subject. The new mode is designed to reduce students＇ burden and to highlight the professional skills in vocational education. The article, from a perspective of policy, analyzes the programmes, the objective and recommendations of the new mode so as to make higher vocational education develop in good order and with its own features.
