"民间"、"民间文化"在不同谈论者的心目中,含义是各不相同的。莫言对"民间"的理解,更接近于本真的、纯粹的人类学、民俗学的民间精神,接近于巴赫金、钟敬文意义上的民间。人类学、民俗学的视野和方法可以引领文学通向生命的大地,但最终文学要脱离它们而跃入生命主体的现实,抵达生命主体精神的源泉。在那里,它将彻底超越文化的外在形态与人为分层。

The meanings of the words ＂folk＂ and ＂folk culture＂ are different in the eyes of different discussants.Mo Yan＇s understanding about the word ＂folk culture＂ is close to anthropologists＇ and the experts＇ on folklore.The views and methods of anthropology and folklore can lead literature to get into the mother earth of life.But,eventually,the literature will get rid of them and jump into the reality of life-subject,reaching the headspring of spirit of life-subject.Literature will thoroughly traverse the configuration and stratification of culture.
