近代陕西鸦片的吸食情况及影响

Opium-taking and Influence in Modern Shaanxi

在近代中国,鸦片像一场不可遏止的瘟疫一样,蔓延到全国各地,并泛滥一百多年,给中华民族带来无限的灾难。陕西鸦片问题亦是如此,鸦片在陕西大面积的种植和吸食,严重影响了陕西人民的生活,使得他们的身心备受折磨,社会风气因此恶化,到处弥漫着腐朽颓废的气息。我们从近代陕西鸦片吸食的现状及原因中,就可以初步分析鸦片对陕西所带来的社会问题及影响。

In the modern China,opium,like an uncontrollable plague,spread throughout the whole country.It lasted for over a century,resulting in catastrophic consequences,Shaanxi province was also involved in it.The cultivation of large acreage of opium and a great number of opium addicts heavily affected the life of Shaanxi people,and meanwhile,the social morality deteriorated.This paper attempts to analyze the social problems caused by opium.
