A Philosophical Analysis of the Accessibility Relation

可及关系是模态逻辑的一个重要概念,但也是一个模糊的概念。当涉及到模态问题时,如何理解可及关系,如何把握可及的世界就成为一个重要的任务。可及关系的标准就是世界的相似关系。由于可能世界同时具有实在性和抽象性的双重特征,所以对模态问题的认识会出现争议。而采用相似性标准来解释模态问题,是一个可以接受的选择。

The accessibility relation is an important and obscure concept of modal logic. When we think about modal problems, how to comprehend the accessibility relation and how to select the accessible worlds are an important task. This paper attempts to clarify the accessibility relation and acknowledge that the standard of accessibility relation is the similarity of worlds. Possible worlds having the two properties of reality and abstractness, there are some disputes about modal problems. And this paper holds that it is an acceptable choice to use similarity as the standard to explain them.
