摘要
本文以上海某中学200名六年级至初中三年级学生为受试对象,运用定量研究的方法,调查分析了不同年级、不同性别的学生的词汇量、词义量水平的差异。研究结果表明:1)中学女生的词汇水平高于男生。2)学生掌握的单词水平主要在中学课程标准词汇的范围之内,自主性学习词汇的能力较弱。3)学生的平均词汇量逐年增长,但是忽略了词义量。
This paper aims to analyze the differences of vocabulary size and active vocabulary size among students of four grades and both genders.200 students,ranging from grade six to grade three of junior middle school,are investigated by making a quantitative study.The results indicate that:1)female students have larger vocabulary size than male students in middle school;2)the acquired words mainly remain in scope of middle school teaching syllabus,while individual study of vocabulary is neglected;3)students' average vocabulary size is growing year by year,yet average active vocabulary size does not develop well.
