王受之教授在文章中概述了设计品收藏的历史。王受之认为,在设计收藏中,理论力量相当重要,如果在没有设计史上的定位,博物馆无法找到收藏的依据,大凡进了设计史的,基本都有收藏价值,那些作品总是或多或少地在设计发展过程中起到过重要的影响作用。
Prof,Shouzhi Wang summarized the history of design collection,starting from 1932 Moma Architecture and Design apartment founded.Prof.Wong considered that design theory plays very important role in design collection.Museum can not find the evidence of collections without the design history fixed position.Collections which had been recorded in history books have the collection value and play an important role in the development of design in history.They have the history value as well as the design value.
