The Geni-e meter being developed by researchers at Oxford University will allow consumers to see the impact individual appliances have on their bills in real time,all from a single monitoring point either within the electricity meter or as a separate unit wired into the mains.The Geni-e meter could help customers identify simple ways to make behavioural changes and save as much as 20%off energy bills.
