The DANIEL nitrogen water hammer relief valve bears the features of high flow capability,sensitive response,safe and stable, highly automatic integration,etc. It can detect the valve front water hammer pressure. When pipeline suffers from water hammer and the pressure hits the preset threshold,the valve can open immediately to protect the pipeline effectively. The relief valves are installed in ten pump stations along the Yizheng-Changling crude oil pipeline. Its structure, working principle,installation,starting/stopping operation procedures are introduced. The method of checking and testing on pressure threshold is also illustrated. The common faults are listed and the corresponding solutions are provided,which can be taken as a reference for the pipeline management personnels,technical engineers and facility maintenance operators.
