新中国成立后,朱德虽身居党和国家重要领导岗位,但他仍然关心和惦念着陕西人民,并就陕西经济社会发展提出了许多重要思想。这些思想主要有:因地制宜,发展农业多种经营是陕西经济社会发展的坚实基础;注意发展手工业是陕西经济社会发展的长久之计;发展和扩大对外贸易是陕西经济社会发展的新出路;技术革新是陕西经济社会发展的强大动力;正确处理军用工业与民用工业关系是陕西经济社会发展的一大特点。

After the founding of New China,while occupying an important position in the Chinese central leadership,Zhu De still showed great concern for the people of Shaanxi and put forward many important ideas for the economic and social development of the province.These ideas include： to develop diversified undertakings of agriculture according to local conditions so as to lay solid foundation for economic and social development;to take handicraft industry as a long-term solution for the economic and social development;to expand foreign trade so as to open a new way for economic and social development;to carry out technological innovation as a powerful driving force for economic and social development;and to handle correctly the relationship between military industry civil industry as a major characteristic for economic and social development.
