英语被动句历来是语法学家们研究的主要对象。根据ICM和原型范畴理论,文章对英语被动句的认知范畴作了初步探讨,对英语被动句的不同形式和意义做出合理的解释,对理解和使用英语被动句有所帮助。

Different grammarians have conducted some researches on English passive sentences.This thesis tries to explore the cognitive category of English passive sentences based on ICM and prototype theory in order to make a reasonable explanation to different forms and meanings of English passive sentences so as to have a better understanding and more extensive use of passive sentences.
