The Professional Ethics of Interpreter——Neutrality

很多中国学者的编著中,在谈及口译人员的道德时,总会提及译员应该遵守会议译员职业道德规范。如:保守秘密、保持中立、准确翻译等。译员要避免个人的偏好、宗教或政治观点、民族意识等因素的影响等。本文通过探索译者主体性的概念及译员在口译过程中涉及的自身因素,来阐述口译人员达到中立的困难性。

In many Chinese learners＇ works,they always emphasize that interpreters should comply with the professional ethnics while mentioned the moral values of those interpreters,such as keeping secretstaying neutral,interpreting precisely and etc.The interpreters should get rid of the effects of personal interest,religious or political views,and ethnic ideas.The thesis elaborates the difficulty of staying neutral for the interpreters with regard to their entity and personal factors in the process of interpretation.
