作为当代技术哲学中一种新的技术理念的技术控制主义,具有其产生的历史渊源,并在发展中经历着思想内容的变化。手工工具技术时代,在技术以伦理道德为目标并遵循"适中"原则的要求中,体现了对技术进行控制的思想萌芽。蒸汽-机器技术时代,对技术进行控制的意识开始觉醒。电气技术时代,随着技术问题的凸显,技术悲观主义盛行,对技术进行控制成了一种理性诉求。自动化技术时代,技术控制主义开始逐渐成为一种新的技术理念,对技术进行控制成了人们的共识。进入21世纪以来,对技术进行有效控制的手段问题得到了深入思考。

Technological appropriateness is a new technological ideal of contemporary philosophy of technology.The ideal has its historical origins and has experienced changes in the development of the ideological content.In Manual Tool Technology Age,the idea of technology control was presented in the demand of ＂moderation＂ and with ethics and morality as the goal of technology.In Steam-Machine Technology Era,some wise minds already perceived the negative effects of technology in spite of the prevalence of technological optimism and the sense of controlling technology started to wake up.In Electrical Technology Age,controlling technology becomes a rational appeal along with the prominence of technological matters and the prevalence of technological pessimism.In Automation Technology Age,technological appropriateness starts to become gradually a new technology ideal and become a consensus of controlling technology.The means of effective technology control have been thought deeply since the 21st century.
