In this article, in-depth analysis on the relationship between characteristics of the language of the Donggan people and identity of their ethnical culture is made. It advocates the preservation and continuation of Donggan language is culturally the retaining and inheriting of the cultural core of the nationality; while in terms of the ethnical mentality, it reflects the consciousness of ethnical identity for their culture.
