The owner of Nuzi, Bobble Cornell, is a friendly woman from New Zealand. Her two visits, in 10 years, to Shanghai left a deep impression on her, especially the great changes that occurred in the city. Cornell eventually decided to stay in Shanghai to open a store to sell New Zealand-made products. Many foreigners who have travelled to China have decided to make the country their "second home." By opening stores or restaurants, they have introduced various goods that feature the ethnic flavors of their homelands. In a way, they are sowing "seeds" in China.
