Friendly cultural exchanges, such as social activities and discussions and symposiums on some womenrelated issues, involving women from China's Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, began on February 27 in Guangzhou, capital of South China＇s Guangdong Province. The exchanges were held to commemorate International Women＇s Day （which fell on March 8）.
