The reactive dyes,with its brilliant Iustre,full spectrum of colour and low price,is the only one class of dyes which can combine with silk by covalent bonds.Reactive dyes has good prospect for application to silk dyeing.This paper deals with the mechanism,research achievements,existing problems,and developing trend of reactive dyeing of silk fabrics.
