摘要
汉字既为中华文化的主要载体,也是华夏文明的重要标志之一。溯其源头一方面呈现出"文"源于"图"的历史文脉特征,另一方面也呈现出一定意义的"书""画"同源同根特征。汉字从最初的"依类象形"到"取象表意"的过渡,实质上是从"模拟"到"象征"的升华过程。汉字由"观物取象"到"抽象品格"的达成,亦是一种符号的提纯与语义表述的综合过程。汉字的"取材于象形"决定其"以形表意"功能,本文紧紧抓住"图"、"文"的这一性征,进而探讨其符号功能、审美功能、象征功能与语义功能。
Chinese character is the carrier of Chinese culture and the important symbol of Huaxia civilization.What emerges from its origin,on the one hand,is that characters originate from pictures;on the other hand,calligraphy and painting are same-rooted.Chinese characters' transition from the original pictograph to ideograph is,in essence,the promoting process from imitation to symbolization.The development of Chinese characters from concreteness to abstraction is the comprehensive process of symbol purification and semantics expression.Chinese character's pictograph determines its ideographic function.This article intends to explain the characteristics of pictures and characters,and furthermore,probe into their functions of symbols,aesthetics and semantics.
