《四世同堂》表现了老舍对中华民族不屈不挠的斗争精神的歌颂,对民族文化的反省,对民族国民性弱点的揭露和批判,以及必须改造这种国民性弱点的痛苦而深沉的思考。
In his works Four Generations under One Roof,Lao she sings the inflexible struggling will of the Chinese nation,meanwhile he introspect our national culture and thus discovers and criticise the weakness of the nation,and at last he holds that this national weakness must be removed.
