语域理论关照下的医学英语教学探析 被引量:3

摘要 医学英语隶属专门用途英语,语言上有其独有的特征和要求。目前国内高校医学英语教学状况存在诸多难点,制约了其教学质量的提高。韩礼德的语域理论是系统功能语法的重要理论之一,该理论强调语言的交际功能和社会意思。语域三要素,即语场、语旨和语式,分别决定语言三大元功能,即概念功能、人际功能和语篇功能。本文从具体的教学实践出发,结合例证,探讨语域三要素和语言三大元功能如何决定医学英语语篇的及物性、语气、以及衔接系统,从而揭示语域理论引入高校医学英语教学的必要性和可行性。 Medical English differs from general English in its unique style, sentence pattern, grammar and word usage. The present paper, based on Halliday' s register theory and the analysis of its application, discusses that in medial English teaching, teachers should take register and language' s three metafunctions into account in order to enhance students' awareness of diagnosing register in medical English. This paper reveals an applicable and comparatively new approach to medical English teaching from the perspective of register analysis.
