基于5C目标下大学英语课堂教学的思考

在经济全球化的今天,综合性外语能力对于日益频繁的国际交流与竞争的重要性是显而易见的。我国应把握大学英语课堂教学这一关键环节,适应国际环境,切实提高英语教学的实效性。美国在20世纪末提出的关于学习外语的基本理论《21世纪外语学习标准》被评价为体现了当代最新的语言习得理论,其主要内涵——"5C"标准,对我国的大学英语课堂教学无论从价值定位、教学内容、教学方法以及教学手段等方面都有着一定的借鉴意义,同时,对于进一步完善我国大学英语课堂教学也有深刻的指导意义。

In the context of increasing economic globalization, the importance of comprehensive foreign language capacity to increasing international communication and competition is obvious.China should emulate the key procedures of college English classroom instruction to adapt to the international environment and improve the effectiveness of English teaching.At the end of the last century,the United States proposed a basic theory on foreign language learning entitled Standard for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century,which is evaluated as the latest contemporary language acquisition theory.Its main content——＂5C＂ standards,has referential value to Chinese college English classroom instruction,particularly on the aspects of value proposition,teaching content,teaching methods,media,etc.In addition,it has profound guiding significance to further improve Chinese college English classroom instruction.
