A Discourse-based Approach to English Reading Teaching in Higher Vocational School

英语阅读作为高职英语专业的一门必修课程,是学生掌握语言知识、扩大知识面和培养交际能力的基础。结合教学实践,从阅读教学的现状和学生的认知特点出发,尝试提出一种更为有效的语篇阅读教学模式并讨论该模式在阅读教学中的具体运用,以期为高职英语阅读教学开辟一种新思路。

As a compulsory course,English reading plays an essential role in mastering language knowledge,enlarging the knowledge scope and cultivating communicative ability.Combining teaching practice,the paper puts forward a new discourse-based approach on basis of the current situation of reading teaching and the cognitive characteristics of students.Furthermore,it discusses the applications of the approach in order to openg up a new thinking pattern for English reading teaching in higher vocational school.
