Chinese Context and Hobbes' Theory of Sovereignty

霍布斯的主权理论在中国的语境下极易引起误解,这一方面源于文化与语境的不同,文化传统错移后的语境和时代背景错移后的语境助长了这种误解;另一方面源于对霍布斯理论认识不够深刻,尤其是对其关于国家主权与个人主权关系的认识不足所致。针对上述原因,本文试图绕开语境带来的认识误区,深入霍布斯的论证逻辑本身,从其理论本意认识把握霍布斯的主权理论。探讨国家主权与个人主权在当下中国的重要性,在此基础上才可能达成社会共识。

It is easy to misunderstand Hobbes＇ theory of sovereignty in Chinese context because of two reasons.Firstly,the different culture and background lead to the misgrafting of Hobbes＇ theory in Chinese context.Secondly,insufficient understanding of the relationship between Hobbes＇ national sovereignty and individual sovereignty causes the misunderstanding.Therefore,the paper will explore the possibility to understand Hobbes＇ theory and logic by reading Hobbes＇ writings and discuss the importance of national sovereignty and individual sovereignty in China today.
