The Effect of Ceramic Shell Mould on Microstructure and Mehanical Properties of Ductile Iron in Investment Casting

本文讨论影响水玻璃型壳精铸球铁的工艺因素,诸如原材料选择、制壳工艺、温度场分布等。研究表明,以莫来石或高岭石为主晶相的铝硅系耐火材料是精铸球铁件的理想选择。

In this paper,the effect of various factors of technology on the ductile iron investment casting in sodium silicate ceramic shell have been discussed. Such as raw materials choice, shell making technology, temperature field in shell mould, etc. Study has proved that ceramic shell making by Al-Si system refractory materials with main crystal of Mollite or Kaolinite will be the ideal choice for investment casting ductile iron.
