摘要
"政治正确"(PC)是指为了避免真实存在的或所谓的不公正的歧视言行、思想而采用另一种变换的词语、行为或思想观念。体现"政治正确"的方式之一是用最中性的词语进行人际交流,以防止歧视或侵害他人。美国人对人平等的不懈追求是美国英语"政治正确"词语产生、运用的温床,"政治正确"在语言中的使用一定程度上反映了社会对"弱势群体"的关注和尊重。
Political Correctness（Abbr.PC） is to compel everyone to avoid using words,behavior or ideas that may discriminate against any person.One aspect of reflecting PC in languages is the use of non-biased terms in communication.Americans′ relentless pursuit of equality provides the chance for the formation and development of PC.Its use in language shows the concern and respect for＂vulnerable groups＂ in certain social cultures.
