浅析英汉文化差异与翻译

THE STUDY ON CHINESE AND WESTERN CULTURE DIFFERENCES AND TRANSLATION

语言作为文化的重要组成部分,是文化的载体。翻译活动体现了不同文化之间的交流,同时也揭示了文化差异存在可译性。本文围绕英汉文化差异在价值观念、宗教信仰、历史典故、风俗习惯等方面的体现,来说明文化差异对翻译的影响。

As an important component of culture,language is the vehicle of culture. Translation activities reveal the communication between different cultures and show the translatability in cultural differences. The differences between English and Chinese cultures are reflected mainly in religious cultural background,value orientation and customs and habits,etc. This paper mainly analyzes these differences to show their effects on translation.
