The designing ideas and achievements of the second prize winning project of the 47th IFLA Student Design Competition are introduced in this paper. The keeping and revitalizing of traditional features in the rejuvenation of the old town of Jinan is the focus of the design. With "looking for the disappeared springs" as the clue, the existences of different types of springs are identified with landscape as the carrier, so as to rebuild the atmosphere of the old town of Jinan built with springs and in the hope to recover the disappearing close relationships between the city and the springs, and people and the springs in this way. Looking for the disappeared springs is not only to look for the disappeared springs themselves, but also a narrative approach to re-awaken the past lives of springs, so that the springs and the culture they contains can return to people's lives in a new form and pass from generation to generation.
