在跨文化交际的过程中,译者需要从研究民族文化差异入手去研究语言差异。只有充分认识这些民族文化差异,才能够有效进行语言的转换。事实上,民族文化差异往往为跨文化交际制造各类不可译因素。然而,人类普遍存在的文化共性却为文化交流和语言转换提供了可能。因此,翻译就不得不在不可译处寻求某种可译的平衡点。

In cross-cultural communication,a translator has to study the cultural differences prior to his efficient linguistic transferrence.As a matter of fact,the cultural differences across nations always create sorts of untranslatable factors.The cultural universals,however,make cultural exchange and lingusitic transferrence possible.A translator,in this sense,shall resort to some balancing point in translating.
