This paper makes an analysis of the course characteristics of Image Transmission and Procession and makes a summary of three years′ teaching experiences.The significance of applying multimedia in this course is discussed,and teaching methods about computer programming are introduced.These prove that it is necessary to combine theories and practices,and foster students′ abilities to apply theories to solve real problems in order to realize the targets of developing practice-oriented undergraduate talents.It is indispensable to pay attention to both theories presentation and their real applications.
