许潮不仅是位戏曲家,还是位诗人,惜其《山石集》已佚。近来,从乾隆《靖州志》、光绪《靖州直隶州志》、道光《直隶靖州志》等方志中,新发现许潮佚诗八首。这八首诗对于了解许潮的生平、思想及其诗歌创作风格都具有重要的文献价值。

Xu Chao is not only a dramatist,but also a poet.But what is a pity is that his Shanshiji disappeared early in history.Lately,his eight unknown poems have been found in Qianlong＇s Chorography of Jingzhou Prefecture and other local chronicles compiled during Qing dynasties.These eight poems have important literature value in better understanding Xu Chao＇s lifetime,thought,and poetry writing style.
