On the Dilemma after the Awakening of Human Nature:Narratological Interpretation on SHEN Cong-wen's "Husband"

运用叙事学理论中的语义方阵理论解读《丈夫》,可以发现,妻子是否去做船妓,关系着传统人伦上的丈夫的权利和尊严。这部小说展现的就是这种人伦道德从失落到回归的过程。但是,由于造成这种悲剧性恶俗的社会矛盾没有得到解决,那么这种道德倒退、人性堕落的困境就不会根本改变。

Using the theory of semantic matrix in the narratology to interpret the Husband,it is found that weather the wife becomes a prostitute on a boat is closely related to the right and dignity owned by a husband from the perspective of traditional human relations.The loss and return of human relations are presented in this novel.However,because the social contradiction leading to this tragic and evil nature was not resolved at that time,this dilemma,which was a degradation both in morality and human nature,would never disappear.
