在我国海洋开发的过程中,科学技术和教育发挥了关键的基础作用。浙江省委、省政府充分考虑浙江海洋资源的优势,提出了建设"海洋经济强省"和"海上浙江"的雄伟目标,并规划了科教兴海的重大战略。作为浙江省唯一的一所海洋类本科院校,浙江海洋学院是实现科教兴海战略的主力军和排头兵,海洋特色是浙江海洋学院的立校之本,强校之基,必须从人才培养、师资建设、科学研究等方面布局谋划为,科教兴海战略的完成做出贡献。

Scientific technology and education play a key role in developing process of ocean in China.Zhejiang province proposes constructing projects of ＂ocean economy prospering zhejiang province＂and＂Zhejiang on the ocean＂and conducts strategy of flourishing ocean through technology and teaching.As a unique higher education institution of ocean engineering in Zhejiang province,Zhejiang Oceen University which has features of ocean engineering,is the main force in performing flourishing ocean through technology and teaching.
