From the view of establishing models of risk assessment for type 2 diabetes mellitus, this article focused on the differences between each model in the field of variable introduction, which included Finnish model, Danish model, Thailand model, American model and Chinese model. Moreover, the paper puted forward that future models of risk assessment for type 2 diabetes mellitus should care about not only environmental factors but also heritable factors as well.
