摘要
简略回顾了华南热带亚热带古环境和现代环境研究在90 年代所取得的主要成果, 其主要表现在如下一些方面: 红土与全球变化研究, 海岸带沉积与海平面变化研究, 海洋沉积与环境变迁研究, 构造- 火山- 地貌与海陆环境变迁研究, 现代环境与应用第四纪研究, 等等。
The studies of the paleo-and conlemporary environments in tropical-subtropical zone of South China during the 1990s are reviewed.Those studies covered various domains in the Quaternary sciences, such as the red soil and global change, the coastal sediment and fluctuation of sea level,the marine sediment and environmental variance, the tectonics-volcanism-landform and continental-marine evolution, the modern environment and application of Quaternary sciences, etc.. From the studies of multilayer red soils, which are of geological superiority of South China, the new concepts, such as the multicycle red soil sequence, the environmental index series of red soil, the latitudinal effect of global changes and so on, have been advanced. The application of the U-series dating using TIMS and the thermometer created by Sr/Ca and δ 18 O to the coral has been led to high resolution studies of the paleoclimate in South China Sea. The data about the laminated sediments in marr lake, the littoral sediments, the eolian sand sediments, the delta sediments and the sea sediments etc. confirm the regularity of close relationship between environmental evolution in South China and global change. The new idea about the coupled climatic-tectonic system is based on the correlation among geological events of neotectonic and volcanic activation, geomorphological evolution, sedimentary cycle, climatic change and fluctuation of sea level. Important advance in last few years has been made in the application of Quaternary sciences to the studies of modern environment, natural calamity and sustainable development in South China. Some suggestions about deepening the studies of the tropical-subtropical environment are put forward.
