概念整合网络对英语委婉语的认知阐释

Cognitive Illustration of the Conceptual Integration Theory on English Euphemisms

委婉语是人类日常交际中为了避免尴尬,避开禁忌语而出现的一种语言交际形式。从认知角度出发,从概念整合理论着手,利用概念整合网络的四个子网络:单一概念框架网络、一般概念框架网络、单向概念网络和双向概念网络,与具体实例相结合来分析不同类型的委婉语,充分证明了概念整合理论对委婉语有着很强的阐释力,这不仅是对概念整合理论的补充阐释,也是对认知语言学研究的进一步推动。

Euphemism is a kind of way for communication,which is for avoiding embarrassment and taboos.From the angle of cognitive linguistics,based on the conceptual integration theory and combined with the examples,this paper uses the four kinds of networks which are single framing network,frame network one-side network and two-side network to analyze the different types of euphemisms,which is fully proved that the conceptual integration theory is of strong illustration power for the euphemisms.This is not only the supplementary illustration for the conceptual integration concept,but also the future promotion for the study of cognitive linguistics.
