《古代社会》是摩尔根在民族学方面的最杰出的代表作,该书以唯物史观分析论述了人类原始社会的发展规律,提出了许多有价值的观点,建立了一套较为科学的方法理论,为近代民族学的建立和发展做出了不可磨灭的贡献。
Ancient Society was the most excellent typical works of Morgan in Ethnology.Under the basis on materialism historial concept,the works analysed and elaborated the development law of the Primitive Society of humanity,put forward much valuable point of view,established a suit of more scientific method and theory,which made a greater contribution to establishment and development of modern Ethnology.
