春桃是许地山在"五四"时期女性解放思想影响下所塑造的一个前所未有的妇女形象。春桃的与众不同不仅表现在她坚定的生活意志和独立的人格追求上,更表现在她强烈的反夫权意识上。春桃的出现,是"五四"妇女解放的结晶,更是当代妇女解放运动的先声。她对独立人格的追求和对封建夫权的反叛具有划时代意义。

Chun Tao ,a character in Xu Dishan＇s works is characterized as an unprecedented woman ,under the influence of women＇s liberation in the period of May 4th Movement .She is a symbol of rebelling the traditional life ,whose singularity is presented not only by her steadfast will for life and self-governed pursuit to moral quality ,but also by her violent awareness of anti-authority of the husband.There is no more such a figure like her, who can break through all women blocks in China literature history.
