"讨厌"和"厌恶"是一对近义词,在主观情感上都有反感、不喜欢的意思,但"厌恶"比"讨厌"不喜欢的程度要重些。"厌恶"只有动词词性,"讨厌"除了做动词,还可以做形容词。在语义上二者有词义轻重、搭配对象的不同;在语用上也存在概念义和语境义以及语体色彩的差异;在句法上与不同的宾语连用时的情况,以及能否进入把字句等诸多问题上均有不同。
