摘要
翻译涉及两种语言的转换,同时也是思维活动.语言作为思维的工具,折射着思维的差异;思维影响着语言的表达形式.本文探讨英汉思维差异及其在语言方面的影响,并提出翻译应该重视两种语言在思维层面的对比,使译文符合目的语的思维习惯.
Translation is a mental activity involving the transformation of one language into the other.As a tool for thinking,the language of a nation invariably reflects different patterns of thinking,which in turn determines language expression.Discussing different patterns of thinking in both Chinese and English,this paper stresses the comparison and contrast of the thought patterns in the translation of the two languages so that the translation work be brought in line with ways of thinking of the target lanuage.
