From individuality paramountcy to individuality instrumentalism to the re-estimating of the value of individuality,QU Qiubai＇s outlook on individuality had experienced three phases of historical evolvement.All these three phases are closely related to the historical features of time before and after the ＂May Fourth＂,the Great Revolution period,and the early period of the land revolution.Among them,the evolvement in the first two phases have a lot in common with the views of the time,while the third phases show a relatively independent course of psychological change.A review of the evolvement of QU Qiubai＇s outlook on individuality is beneficial to our understanding of the mutual relationship between individuality and society and time.
