On the New Religions in the Local Society and the Public Security

转型期地方社会新兴宗教扎根于民间,理性化程度低,一旦产生会顺着文化网络迅速传播,且有组织性、隐蔽性强的特点,可能会对地方社会安全构成威胁。只有理清新兴宗教产生及发展的原因,并依据其特点进行管理,才能消除其隐患,并使其转化为稳定社会的力量。

The new religions are rooted in the folk in China, and they have the low-rationalization characteristics. On emerging, the new religions will spread rapidly along with the cultural networks. Due to their organization and concealment, they will probably threaten the local social security. Efforts should be made to figure out the reasons of the emergence and development of the new religions, and administer them according to their characteristics so that the hidden threats to the public social security can be eliminated and turned into a positive power.
