认真分析宋懋澄《九籥集》中的《刘东山》,对正确评定宋懋澄在文言小说史上的地位,重新认识晚明文言小说的价值都很重要。小说提出的训诫意味,强调侠在凶险的江湖之上时时面临的生存危机,武技高超者更应学会韬晦自保,切莫恃力炫技及其"输技退隐"的价值趋向,不仅对武林"赌技服人"较技规则的形成影响甚大,亦对侠与江湖的关系提出了严肃思考。

LiuDongshan in JiuYueJi written by Song Maocheng plays very important roles in the assessment of his status in the history of classical Chinese novels and also in the reunderstanding of the value of the late Ming classical Chinese novels.In the novel,the warrior's constant existence crisis in the dangerous wide world is emphasized,and the idea that those with high Martial arts should not be showy is proposed.The value that the loser should retire automatically from the wide world proposed in this novel not only has far-reaching effect on the formation of the rule that skill speaks louder than anything else in wide world but also arouses serious thinking about the relationship between warriors and the wide world.
