民主从何而来?——从科学社会主义观点对市场与民主所作的考察

Where Comes Democracy? An Inquiry of Market and Democracy from a Perspective of the Scientific Socialism

历史上,商品—市场经济与民主从来有着内在的联系。我们今天的市场经济同样如此。但它又带有自己的特殊性。我们的市场经济发展造就了巨大的历史进步,但同时也出现了不容忽视的官僚主义膨胀和腐败问题。当今中国,民主正是与"民生"问题紧紧联系着的。只有推进党内民主和社会民主,才是克服目前矛盾的良药。民主只能依据现有的政治资源和力量,以合法的途径通过渐进的方式去逐步地获得,但应该重视特别发挥人民群众的伟大首创精神,通过制度化的民主来保护他们合法地维护自己的权利。

Historically,there has always been intrinsic connection between the goods-market economy and democracy.Our current market economy is no exception while having its own particularities.The development of our market economy fosters massive historical progress.Meanwhile,there accompany nontrivial problems such as the bulge of bureaucratism and partial corruption.In contemporary China,democracy is closely correlated with the ＂people＇s livelihood.＂ The only effective solution for current contradictions is nothing but the promotion of intra-Party and social democracies.Democracy should be achieved only in a legal and incremental way based on current political resources and strengths.Nevertheless,special attention should be paid to exert the great initiative of the general public and to enable them,through institutionalized democracy,to legally defend their own rights.
