This paper is about the characteristics of China automobile coatings industry in ＂the 11th Five-Year Plan＂ period, including the environment protection, high performance, new technology and integration of coatings and application. It points out the problems existing at present, and gives the trends of development in the ＂the 12th Five-Year Plan＂ period.
