A Preliminary Exploration of Supplementary Explanation for Things in the Long Inscriptions on Bronze Objects of the West Zhou Dynasty

缘于对"名"的十分重视,"别白"成为言语交际中常见的一种修辞现象。汉语早期出土文献别白修辞主要有人物别白与事物别白两类。而事物别白主要有明确所属、明确所处、明确种类、明确功用、明确来源等几类。

Owing to close concern with ＂name＂,＂supplementary explanation＂ came to be a popular rhetorical phenomenon on speech communication.The rhetoric of supplementary explanation in old unearthed Chinese literature presented two styles of supplementary explanation rhetoric,that is,supplementary explanation of characters and that of things.And supplementary explanation was introduced to specify the relation of possession,category,function,origin and the like of the things involved.
