阐述了“都市型农业”产生的时代背景，展现了“都市型农业”国际国内发展基本态势，分析了“都市型农业”的内涵和特征；面对２１世纪，展望了我国大城市“都市型农业”发展前景，探讨了发展对策。
Expounding the era background of the metropolitan agriculture emergement,presenting the international and internal foundamental situation of the metropolitan development and analysing the contents and characteristics of the metropolitan agriculture.Facing the 21st century,the author prespected the development future of the metopolitan agriculture in the large cities of our nation and probed into the development strategy.
