摘要
In the field of phonology,the suprasegmental features has now won wide attention.Suprasegmental features or prosodic features are those aspects of speech that involve more than one sound segment.The principal suprasegmental feachures are syllable,stress,tone and intonation.This paper is going to focus on the feature of stress.It will cover the definition,categories,realization and functions of stress in detail.
