A Fast and Cheap Method for Protein Determination

蛋白质测定的Ｌｏｗｒｙ法显色反应在３０℃以下通常需３０ｍｉｎ，Ｌａｒｓｏｎ利用加入二硫苏糖醇（ＤＴＴ）使反应快速完成并提高了灵敏度，但存在ＤＴＴ价格昂贵的不足。利用连二亚硫酸钠（保险粉）代替ＤＴＴ，实现了蛋白质含量快速、灵敏、廉价的测定。

The Lowry method for protein determination usually incorporates a 30 _ minute standing period to allow full color development after the addition of Folin reagent below 30. The addition of dithiothreitol(DTT), as suggested by Larson, reduces the standing time and enhances the sensitivity as well. However, the high price of DTT is a drawback. In this paper, authors propose the substitution of DTT by a cheap reagent, sodium dithionite. Thus, the determination of proteins can be not only rapid and sensitive, but also cheap.
