Current Exploitation Status of the Old Course of Yellow River of Ming and Qing in North Jiangsu Province and Some Policy Suggestions on It

江苏省苏北境内的明清黄河故道是黄河在夺淮入海过程中形成的一条最具代表性的"地上河",也是著名的农业文化遗产。苏北明清黄河故道是可综合开发的宝贵资源,具有极大的开发潜力和美好的发展前景。在科学保护的前提下合理开发苏北黄河故道,对改善当地生态环境,促进苏北区域经济发展,弘扬黄河、淮河水文化,保护珍贵的历史文化遗产,都具有十分重要的意义。

The old course of Yellow river within northern Jiangsu province is the most representative ground river forming in the process of the yellow river flowing into the sea through depriving of the course of Huaihe river during the Ming and Qing dynasties,also well known as agricultural heritage.As a kind of valuable resources,it possesses great exploitation potential and wonderful prospects,so the comprehensive exploiting is available.Under the premise of scientific protection,reasonable exploiting the old course of yellow river has an important significance for improving ecological environment,promoting regional economic development,enhancing the water culture of the Yellow river and Huaihe river as well as preserving the historical and cultural heritage.
