The conjugated poly(2\|methoxy\|5\|butoxy) phenylene vinylene was synthesized.The intermediates and the polymer obtained were characterized by 1H\|NMR and ultroviolet spectrum.The fluorescent characteristic and V\|I curve and electroluminescence characteristic were measured.The results showed that the peak position of excitation spectrum was 517 nm and of photoluminescence (PL) spectrum was 547 nm and of electroluminescence (EL) spectrum was 525 nm and EL started at 5V.\=
